DESCRIPTION:The second of our monthly programs run specifically for homeschool students! The first Tuesday of every month at 11:00 features an exciting space program so everyone can explore the universe! \n \nTravel with the brother-sister duo\, Jack and Annie\, in their Magic Tree House as they discover a note that asks them to answer a series of six questions about space. With the help of an astronomer\, the Internet\, an astronaut\, books and the writer of the mysterious note\, Jack and Annie are taken on a wondrous journey of adventure and learning. \nThis exciting voyage will carry visitors to the planets and far out into the Universe where Jack and Annie nearly get… Well\, we don’t want to give it away. The adventure is just beginning!\nBased on the popular book series by Mary Pope Osborne.

DESCRIPTION:It’s Student Night at the planetarium! All UMaine students receive FREE admittance by presenting their MaineCard before the show! Seating is limited\, so be early! Free student programs are held every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month at 4:00. So come check out a star show after classes to unwind! \n \n  \nThis week: Stars\n11.3.15 \nEvery star has a story. Some are as old as time\, faint and almost forgotten. Others burn bright and end their lives in powerful explosions. New stars are created every day\, born of vast clouds of gas and dust. Through every phase of their existence\, stars release the energy that lights the Universe. Journey to the furthest reaches of our galaxy and experience both the awesome beauty and destructive power of stars. \nAttendance is $6 for all non-UMaine students
