DESCRIPTION:Join us to prepare for the launch of NASA’s next “Great Observatory”! \nSpecial guest speaker\, Dr. Carter Emmart\, Director of Astro-Visualization at Hayden Planetarium AMNH will remotely “pilot” our planetarium to show the launch and deployment of JWST in stunning detail. \nBuild a paper model of the telescope and see how NASA uses “origami” principals to make large spacecraft fold up into small packages for launch. \nWatch a special planetarium program exploring how JWST was designed\, built and tested – the engineering process – behind this space telescope. A great Saturday family activity! \nTickets are $8 a person. Tickets may be purchased in advance online\, by phone at (207) 581-1341\, or at the ticket box office prior to the show. \n
