DESCRIPTION:  \nSpecial Presentation: Micrometeorites: Space Dust from Maine by Jon Wallace \n  \nNASA Solar System Ambassador and former Maine State Astronomer of the Year\, Jon Wallace\, will introduce us to micrometeorites collected from the roofs of the Versant Power Astronomy Center and Jordan Observatory here at UMaine.  About 100 tons of this space dust lands on Earth everyday.  Discover how big science is being done from these tiny objects. \n  \nIncoming! \nAsteroids and comets have collided with our planet throughout its history\, changing the course of life on Earth and shaping the world we know today. Real-time data from current NASA missions help audiences explore the past\, present\, and future of our Solar System. Take a journey through the dynamic story of our cosmic origins.
